Deadline: Friday, 28 April 2023

The International Law Association (Australia Branch) is planning to host several panel presentations throughout 2023 highlighting the work or research of early career international lawyers. The aim is to provide a platform for early career international lawyers to showcase a current project and receive feedback on their work. We encourage submissions from practitioners as well as early career academics and postgraduate students.

If you are an early career international lawyer (i.e. with no more than five years of experience working in international law practice or academia, or current postgraduate student), you are invited to submit your CV and a 200 word abstract on a topic of private or public international law. Priority will be accorded to members of the ILA (Australia Branch), but consideration will also be accorded to other Australia-based early career international lawyers.

Subject to the number and quality of EoIs, we will organize a series of panels around particular themes. Ideally, we will organize the events to be held at locations in different cities around Australia but will also host the events online to allow broad access and participation.

Please submit your EoI (consisting of the title of the paper, 200 word abstract and CV) to secretary@ila.org.au by Friday, 28 April 2023. We will arrange the dates and times of the presentations according to the preferred schedules of the panelists and chair. Please advise in your EoI if you have definite restrictions on your availability.
